Michael Dedashi, founder of MHD Enterprises, has defied just about every possible convention on how to grow a business.  When his competitors were setting up payment terms to manage the business from cash, Michael was prepaying for everything he could and re-investing every made dollar back into MHD.  In the process building critical industry relationships on better terms which kept product coming, and his employees working.  When others were doing background checks on employees handling millions of dollars of liquid electronics inventory, he seeks out and embraces those with troubled pasts who have a hard time getting that second chance.  The result is a company culture of trust, accountability, and spirituality not commonly found in the reverse logistics business, or any other for that matter.  And when other companies look to train up employees into senior roles, Michael is mentoring those to follow a path to their own ownerships, now working with several former employees as his customers.

The results speak for themselves.  As CEO of MHD Enterprises, Michael is the 28th  fastest growing small business in the country, and #1 in their category in the 2012 Inc. 500.

Matt Chasen revolutionized a stagnant industry’s ecosystem.  He was determined to find a better, more cost effective way to send goods from point A to point B utilizing excess, not often maximized, carrier capacity.  And it’s the same borderline naiveté that’s driven him to create a company in his image since.  After all, if he could change the way people ship things, why couldn’t he change the way people work?  Look inside the story of uShip; a determined entrepreneurs path driven by a fearless regard for the norms resulting in a shakeup of an industry, and inspired devotion to his employees who’ve helped him do it.
