I’m kind of thinking that #edcampdenver should take over #coedchat, so that CDE understands just how powerful this community is.

Anyone want to start posting a whole bunch of questions and ideas on #nextgenlearning for #coedchat next week?

  1. Challenge accepted! It’d be really amazing to get student voice represented through class or individual student accounts, or by sharing their ideas and questions on their behalf. Anyone game to poll the kiddos and get them participating?

The topic is “How to design a learning environment to ignite engagement and develop next generation skills like collaboration, decision making and risk taking.” I’m sure this community of educators as well as the students, parents, and community members we work with have a lot to say, so let’s be sure the CDE knows that. The Next Gen and Blended & Online Learning team at CDE is a small but mighty group of really amazing educators and advocates, but they need our help showing just how powerful and important these issues are because they can’t initiate and sustain this change alone.

For those who are new to Twitter or have never done a Twitter chat you just need to post a question or thoughts on the topic and use the hashtag #coedchat (you can also use #nextgenlearning as well). You can post anytime before Monday at 4, and can participate during the discussion by following & using those hashtags 4-4:45pm. So go throw a question or comment out there, it’s fun!
