Don’t worry! I used the google glass on the dashboard so I don’t have to hold anything and I can look straight ahead at the road. 

I realized yesterday that I think in terms of communities or groups, now. Whenever I am learning something new, I am thinking about which audience it makes sense for. Do you do this, and if so, how does it affect your learning (or your students’ learning)?

Ben Wilkoff one of the things I tend to think about is whether or not the post is appropriate for a community.  For example, if the item is really cool, but not specifically connected, should it go in this place?  This is especially true when I think about the goals or missions of the community (i.e. my blog posts maybe don’t belong in the Student Blogging Network community).

  4. I am sometimes mindful of the “marinade” of a community.  Depending on the members of a community sharing can sometimes lead to an echo-chamber effect with similar ideas bouncing around.  Hence, it is important to broaden communities to incorporate various perspectives and voices.
