  1. Oh my goodness. I absolutely don’t care that it took you a couple of days to respond. The whole point of this project is that we should be able to have these conversations on our own time. And the wait was absolutely worth it. It is an amazing poem filled with potent words and ideas.

  4. Thank you. I think you just spent time with my State’s technology integration specialist –@juliafallon during #ipdx13  I didn’t realize she was on Twitter until I saw your tweets. We have a great Tech Dept at OSPI in WA State; just not much funding… 🙂

  7. Yep. I actually asked her about you. She said that she knew your town, but wasn’t sure she knew you personally. She is wonderful. Let me know if you would like to connect with her directly, as we spent a good amount of time together this past weekend. #ipdx was great fun, and the next time I am up that way, we should plan on getting together.

  10. Sometimes I forget that not everybody is on the same journey as I am…and that is what makes this all so interesting…and so I need to find a way to connect with them in a way that is meaningful to them and their journey.

Sometimes I forget that learning isn’t the only important thing going on in my classroom (but I am reminded when I get a new student and realize I need to go shopping to buy her some clothes), but building relationships, a sense of community and caring for one and other is so important too!

Sometimes I forget how many amazing educators there are out there and how fortunate I am to have them in my PLN.

And sometimes I spend so much time on twitter and forget about google+ and am late to the party for these types of things…so sorry…thank you for giving me the opportunity to reflect…

  13. Thank you Gallit Zvi for your thoughtfulness. Those are things that I forget too. That environment of safety and support that you are creating with kids is so valuable, and we can’t let our own prerogatives get in the way of really reaching out and making a difference for someone specific.

There is no generic learner, only a specific one that has specific needs. I don’t want to forget that. Not ever.
