Thank you to everyone who took part and thought deeply about what GEGs are and should be in the future.
Please continue the conversation in one of the following ways:
1. Continue to take notes and collaborate in the planning doc: http://j.mp/gegroundtable
2. Submit a reflection for a Badge at P2PU: http://badges.p2pu.org/en/badge/view/455/
3. Create your own Roundtable: http://bit.ly/createroundtable
Roundtable Purpose: The purpose of this roundtable is to explore all of the possibilities for what a GEG might look like, and how teachers and leaders could become a part of one in order to improve their practice.
Roundtable Audience: The audience for this roundtable is any teacher or leader who is interested in knowing more about Google Educator Groups and defining what best practice might look like for these groups.

Just processing the Hangout in my mind… I am working on a process of C.A.R.E. for EdTech Leaders that includes: Community, Assessing where you’re at, Resources, and Education. I feel that the GEG’s are embodying all but the assessment piece and so to expand on your challenge question, Ben, and a challenge for the group: would it be possible to create an assessment (or are there some already out there) to figure out where you are as a teacher and have the resources and learning opportunities to point you to and support you as an individual? For more on the C.A.R.E. concept, you can check this blog post out: http://jasone.me/f9
