Thank you so much for taking part. This was a wonderful Roundtable.
Here is what you can do to keep the conversation going:
1. Keep on collaborating in the planning doc: http://bit.ly/equityroundtable
2. Submit a reflection and earn a badge: http://badges.p2pu.org/en/badge/view/398/
3. Create your own Roundtable for you school/district: http://bit.ly/createroundtable
Roundtable Purpose:
To ensure that EVERYONE is empowered by personalized learning environments, and not only those who have access to the latest and greatest tools.
We cannot ensure that we are meeting the needs of all of our students and teachers if we do not have access and equity for technology, professional development, and the structures that empower ownership of learning.
Roundtable Audience:
1. Teachers and leaders who are interested in ensuring that all students and teachers have access to the right educational tools to support personalized learning environments.
2. Teachers and leaders interested in implementing BYOD or 1:1 programs (or some combination of both) in order to increase student engagement and achievement.
What I'm Learning: Flipped PD from Kristin Daniels
I really love this article on EdSurge, but my favorite part comes from the section on planning. It is truly a wonderful way to show how both easy and effective good personalized learning plans can be. Nice work Kristin!
The Flip Side of Professional Development | EdSurge News
The very first coaching session of Flipped PD often begins with the creation a google document that is shared between the teacher and the coach. This shared document becomes the place where individual goals are set, digital resources are linked and workshop notes are recorded. Besides the coach, the teacher can share the document with other colleagues, grade-level team, PLCs or administrators. Notes are recorded (sample 1, 2, 3) throughout the year, goals updated and personalized resources linked here as well. This document becomes evidence of personal growth and the foundation for innovative projects. More resources here.
I hope some of our schools get a chance to take part. Such a cool opportunity.

Based upon a conversation I had last night with some amazing educators from around Colorado, I’m thinking of starting a website that would publish all district software and hardware purchases with their pricing and features so that anyone could compare the deals they were getting.
What do you think about this idea, and what do you think the most significant roadblocks would be to make it happen?
