So, this is a great way to spice up your dummy text. Funny, too. Oh, and you can submit your own hipster words to the project as well.

Why am I now just thinking of this:
Productivity Hack: Create a shortcut to a google doc and put it into a shared dropbox folder.
While Google Docs now allows you to share files, I find that Dropbox is so much better at keeping a team on the same page as they are “real files” on the hard drive syncing things together. But what if we just added a bunch of links to the important docs and made folders and then shared the dropbox folders with anyone who needed them.
Is there something I am missing here? Has anyone had success with this kind of an idea?
This is so full of #win!

So, I have been looking for something like this for quite some time. It works pretty flawlessly for folders of documents. Use Dropbox to sync across all of your machines, use Google Docs to edit. Nice!
cloudHQ for Dropbox – Basecamp, Dropbox and Google Docs:
” Will continuously synchronize Dropbox, Basecamp, and Google Docs “
This is awesome.

There are a lot of great resources here, in addition to a solid way of having a good conversation.
Knowledge Cafe (Gurteen Knowledge):
“A Knowledge Cafe is a means of bringing a group of people together to have an open, creative conversation on a topic of mutual interest to surface their collective knowledge, to share ideas and insights and to gain a deeper understanding of the subject and the issues involved.
This ultimately, leads to action in the form of better decision making and innovation and thus tangible business outcomes.”
“Spot.Us is a nonprofit project to pioneer “community powered reporting.” Through Spot.Us the public can commission journalists to do reporting on important and perhaps overlooked topics. Contributions are tax deductible and we partner with news organizations to distribute content under appropriate licenses. Community members can also take a survey from our sponsors, when available, to support the story of their choice at no cost. Such a deal! We practice the “TAO of Journalism” (Transparency, Accountability, and Openness). To our knowledge Spot.Us is the only open source fundraising platform. You can learn more about us at our press page. Or check out our success stories and partners page. Got questions, try the Frequently Asked Questions page.”
Anyone know how to upload pictures to Picasa (or Google+ directly) from Skitch?
“It’s in our nature to enjoy stories. Whether we tell, read, or listen to one, stories just have that magic quality. They take our minds somewhere else, allowing us to see and feel things that don’t even have to be right in front of us.
On a deeper level, stories do more than just excite the imagination. They can carry meaningful lessons too. Stories that carry a great message linger in the mind and resonate with the soul. This is the kind of positive power that Share A Story wants to explore and harness. By gathering real stories from people around the world and from every background you could possibly imagine, this website hopes to paint a raw picture of humanity today.
Through these stories, we can celebrate each other’s uniqueness and at the same time, appreciate the fact that even though we come from different countries, religions, or socio-economic backgrounds, at the core we are all the same.
We are inviting you to join these people who have already contributed their personal stories to Share A Story. You just might have a tale that someone has been waiting to hear, or insights that could nourish a spirit hungry for inspiration.”
I need a browser bookmarklet that does one of two things:
1. Takes the contents of a webpage (text-only or text and links only) and creates a note in Simplenote.
2. Takes the contents of a webpage (text-only) and creates a text file in a dropbox folder.
Ideally this bookmarklet would work just as well across all browsers (and mobile too).
What do you think? Does this exist?
