Learning is Change

I was having some upload problems last night, but my reaction to Rodd Lucier is up. I also think the concept of a Fidgital world/generation deserves more thought.

It has been a while since we last talked, but I just stumbled back upon your stuff today as I have been looking at educators who are interested in Vlogging. I just started a project with a bunch of folks to do just that in 2013, and I can’t believe that you are doing something so similar with your time this year as well. (Actually, I can believe it because that is the way ideas tend to work…) 

I would love to have you post your vlogs into this community as you make them. I will be responding to your Fidgital video today as a part of my reflective practice, so thank you for making it! Anyway, keep doing what you are doing. I love it.

I just stumbled upon a video interview you did with Steve Hargadon a while back and I was engaged by what you said on empowering our students. I wonder if you might be interested in a project I am getting going for 2013 around having collaborative conversations with educators on Youtube videos. I saw the comment you made on Tim’s post and I wanted to formally invite you to this community. We have been doing a lot of collaborating and call and response through video, which has proved to be one of the most interesting projects I have worked on in years. I wonder if you would check it out if you have a moment. I would love to catch up sometime as well. Talk to you soon!

While this is not strictly a reflective practice vlog, I think this one from Kevin Honeycutt  is incredibly honest and important. I also believe he is advocating for teachers to connect with their students in authentic ways.

Oh, and he is doing this vlog from his dentist chair, which is pretty cool.
