This is just amazing. I live the idea of blending digital and real objects like this.

I know that some of these documents exist out there, but I am hoping to help curate a list of best “tips and tricks” for Chromebooks for student and teacher use. Please add anything you have found helpful!

Does anyone want to help curate/create a Chromebooks tips and tricks document for use in classrooms? Please come and add your favorites.

What would you call a job that does these things:

– Creating and supporting the vision, frameworks, strategies, and tools for knowledge and information sharing across schools and within district departments.

– Providing vision, framework, strategies, and tools for Personalized Professional Development

– Creating, supporting and managing the online communities of practice to support professional development and classroom learning.

– Connecting all Professional Development resources used within the district into a single centralized repository

– Creating, leveraging, and managing all social learning networks including the use of social media and online platforms to drive personalized learning experiences for adults

– Creating and Defining “Digital Learning Experiences” that within all classrooms to support PARCC readiness and Common Core tasks

Edit office docs on your ipad for free, including track changes and many other advanced “Office only” features. This was the app that google bought and Connected to google drive. Pretty great.

I didnt know that filtering could happen at the device level in iOS7. Interesting.

I just saw this resource and online community for story writing and reading. It looks incredibly robust. Another suggestion from Joe Dillon was http://figment.com, Which is along the same lines. For those of you who teach English, I highly recommend getting into communities where writing and reading or a passionate exploit.
