While there may be significant push back on elements of the Common Core, the ability to demonstrate learning in unique and powerful ways probably isn’t one of them. It is in that vein that I would like to curate two Common Core-aligned Math portfolio sites for student use:

Working with teachers for a 7th grade middle school social studies. We are stuck on getting some more “meat” into project. We are working with Middle Ages and trying to develop a project around students creating a shield and connecting it to themselves and content. We don’t want a fluffy project that is just cute. Kids are excited about the shield, but we need to bring in more content and higher order thinking. 

Any thoughts?
