Hey Ben, it rolled out to me this week. When you go to your drive there will be a pop-up pointing to the gear. Then, click on “experience the new Drive”. Hope you get it soon!

Not yet. I was about to hit the publish button on my new Google Drive Essentials textbook. Glad I saw this but now I have to graphics and instructions to update after I get the new UI. I hope that’s soon.

Yeah. I have been enjoying it this week a lot! In fact, there is something about it that makes me feel good just to search or open a document within the new interface.

I dig it too. Much more of an o/s directory feel and even close to their goal (their o/s running on any device – getting their o/s to be the preferred choice). Smoother animations in the UI, better rendering. Just hope it doesn’t chomp on resources for older Chromebooks.

It is actually less resource intensive than the previous version which had to render all a lot in each screen.
