Sorry, Ben… Don’t mean to be disrespectful but I wondered if you thought doing these car-casts was the best way to get your message out… Do the kids see you ‘multitasking’ and only half minding the driving? Might not be the best modeling…your messages might be well made but I’m distracted by your driving. How about a kitchen counter message? Or a backyard cast. Or maybe a taxi cast … Much better than a potential leg cast or arm cast or hospital bed cast!

Thanks so much for the feedback! I’ve been making carcasts since 2007 and I see it much the same as having a passionate discussion on a hands free phone.
I believe I am modeling a great way to make use of all of the tools and time at my disposal. If the video portion is distracting, you can always listen to my podcasts, which I also record in my car.

Ben I did not like it one bit that should video blog and drive. This is a very bad example and the only educational value that could have been derived would be if you crashed your car. I see you have been doing it since 2007, but if you study the statistics you will see it is not a good idea.

Every reality show on TV has video shot from cameras mounted in cars. I’m not understanding the safety argument. Or are you simply stating that talking or having conversation while drive is unsafe?
