He owns a typewriter and collects Laserdiscs. He loves his three children quite a bit (aged 11, 16 and 18). He is passionate about authentic learning, technology with purpose, and creating at least one new thing every day. In short, he teaches, and learns. A lot.
I also like the tech skills students are building by being the ones to create and manipulate their folders and docs in a workflow like this. It is amazing how quickly they learn these skills when they are responsible for managing their own Drive.

I will say that Apple is still tweaking Google Apps on the iPad. There a couple of good apps but it’s still a bit clunky to edit and manipulate Google apps on an iPad.

I would agree, that it is still little clunky. And until presentations can be easily edited on the iPad, the full suite will not be complete. However, I don’t think Apple much cares if Google Docs work on an iPad. They are much more interested in I work as a collaborative sweet. Google is the one that has to make their apps better, and they have done a good job of the last six months of upgrading a hold bunch. We will see how they can continue to expand the possibilities. With Microsoft office coming out on the iPad within the next six months, I expect that Google will try to compete pretty rigorously in this space.
