Thank you so much for everyone who participated live. The notes document is now a hugely valuable resource for those who want to start implementing badges: http://bit.ly/badgesroundtable
1. Submit your reflection for your own badge for this session – http://badges.p2pu.org/en/badge/view/311/
2. Attend the rest of the Project Roundtable sessions: http://bit.ly/projectroundtable
This roundtable is about trying to find best practices for using Badges and Micro-credentials in learning environments both for adult and student learners.
We are excited by what is possible here, but we want to see examples of where it is being done well.
This roundtable is for anyone who is interested in using Badges or Micro-credentialing as a strategy to personalize learning.
It is also intended for those interested in:
2. Blended Learning
3. Competency-based learning
Please fill out the Google Doc to set up if you would like to be on the video hangout or if you would like to simply be a viewer. All are welcome.
I think badges should have some sort of agreed upon criteria that way our students/teachers may take them beyond our individual districts. I also really like the idea that students would be able to give them to each other. This to me is another way in which students would take ownership of their learning and to enrich their participation in their rule as students.
#teachSDA ‘s Twitter chat is just starting to give badges out for participating in chats. Maybe some cool marker for being involved 🙂
