This vlog from Darren Kuropatwa is spot on for our Learning Path discussions. How do we know when someone has learned something along the path? How many “cycles” do we need before we believe that they have reached understanding?
He is married to his favorite person, and loves his three children quite a little bit (aged 10, 15 and 17). He is passionate about authentic learning, technology with purpose, and creating at least one new thing every day. In short, he teaches, and learns. A lot.
Nice post. I was just saying the other day while talking about digital footprint is that our student have this footprint that literally starts before they are born. We can try to minimize the effect or we can use it to build a great portfolio of their life and learning. Hope fully some day when they pass from our k-12 system they will not be asked for graded, rather colleges will google prospects and look for what they accomplished.
