I was having some upload problems last night, but my reaction to Rodd Lucier is up. I also think the concept of a Fidgital world/generation deserves more thought.

  1. ‘Open spoke’… I like that.  The spoke of a wheel evokes that idea of moving forward, rolling on…. with others on parallel journeys.

Extending the metaphor: You have to look closely to realize that bicycle spokes cross over one another and support one another. I’m wondering what interwoven spokes might look like?

  2. I’m so glad it resonates with you. I love the concept that the spokes do support one another. The original idea was to have each wheel be its own topic and have individual spokes support and move that idea forward. Like a wheel of “blended learning” that is supported by all of the practitioners.

The places where the spokes interweave is any time that one person remixes or transposes one person’s idea into a new situation. For example, your concept of a Fidgital generation was from someone else, and I have repurposed it to bring about a new conversation. We have interwoven our spokes, while still being tied to the concept in the middle. We are moving it along together, and I like it.
