Any thoughts?

So, I was trying to find a directory of EdTech folks who vlog today, and I couldn’t find one.
I would really love to subscribe to a whole bunch of folks who do reflective learning videos on a regular basis and have conversations through video with them.
Does anyone know if such a directory exists (or at the very least, a decent Youtube playlist with someone’s favorites).
Short of finding a directory like this, I’m totally okay with you just replying to this post with your youtube channel and I can check it out. Thanks for any help you can provide!
Aren’t you posting to a directory? Not trying to be funny this time. The EdReach Network is full of regularly scheduled conversations about ed tech that are video’d and pushed out. I guess maybe the directory is here? http://edreach.us/

Yes. I regularly watch the Edreach shows. But strictly speaking, EdReach doesn’t do Vlogging in the way I am referring to it. I am looking for singular folks in learning environments vlogging about their daily experiences. Thinking about the concept of an EdTech Vlogbrothers: http://www.youtube.com/user/vlogbrothers

I love Crash Course and DFTBA – honest. I am only now getting you mean literally vlog…In the Doogie Houser sort of way http://youtu.be/N1WnfMFUqWQ I am not sure that people are actively doing that, at least that I know of. I do have a good friend (Brent Coley ) who posts sort of like you are describing http://www.brentcoley.com/ ?

I know that a lot of people are actively doing it, but I don’t know a lot of them in Schools or in other learning institutions. Didn’t know Brent, but I will definitely be checking him out. The closest thing that I am seeing is on Vyou, but most of those video responses are too short to really be reflective.

If I find anything I will pass it on 🙂

Ben, although I’m a blogging teacher, I’ve vlogged as a hobby since 2006. It’s lead me toward collaborating with creative folks on an international level. I’ve actually been thinking about vlogging as a teacher so if you do find folks who are doing that, let me know.

Alright. I just subscribed to your Youtube Channel, Syd DiChiara. Now you should start posting some more vlogs!

Would a Google Community be a good place to do that? You can create “Video responses” right?

I agree that a G+ community would work well. The problem isn’t really the platform, though. I think it is finding the people to invite to the platform (the people that are already engaged in the practice).

That’s interesting. I started doing this in like 2006, and found very little others. It was like talking into a void.

Yeah. There is definitely a need for a supportive community of folks, like there is for text blogging. I just think video is too flexible of a medium to not have people gathering around it for purposes other than “flipping”.
