The moment when one of my challenging students asked me months later why I went to his Christmas party at his after school program.
One of my student’s dad passed away suddenly this year, and my 5th graders banned together to do a bake sale to raise money for the funeral and raised over $1200. Amazing teamwork, compassion, leadership, and organizational skills were shown to me. Testing became not quite as important this year!
