The discipline of daily creation
In 2010 I wrote a question a day on the blog and kept making videos the whole time. That year taught me something I already suspected: I need to make something every day, and it has nothing to do with productivity. The blog is where I work through an idea slowly, over a lot of words. Video is where I look into a camera and say what I actually think, with no chance to revise. Both require showing up. Both reward the practice more than any one piece. Together they are the record of twenty years of learning in public.
