I wanted to make a few more things before heading out to #gtachi  to help us collaborate and explore. I changed the notes document with the updated agenda they sent out and I split them out into team docs. This way, we can trick out our own team notes and all have them linked centrally. Those are all still linked at http://bit.ly/gtachi

I also wanted to be able to create a permanent archive of the #gtachi  twitter conversation so we don’t miss any links or ideas. I have set up a Google Spreadsheet that collects all of the tweets and lets us explore during or after the sessions (it updates once an hour).

The best part is that we can visualize the spreadsheet and explore the interactions as well. You can already see the network of ideas starting to take place here: http://hawksey.info/tagsexplorer/?key=t6D5BqBOGPl_7leMm-qdMQg&sheet=oaw

Please continue to add any resources or ideas you have to the shared folders (and you can start putting your team skills on display in your notes documents too!): https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0ByXFNpMMmaw3X3BkQmhnVnctVUU&usp=sharing

Excited to meet you all really soon.

Also, go #teamdavinci .

What if you could denote with every email you sent just how much time you think it will require in collaboration or response?

And then, what if you could organize all of your emails by how much time they would take to respond to create a time budget for email that would allow you to respond to some longer tasks and some shorter tasks until you got to inbox zero?

Does this exist, and if not should it?

Is there a Google app script that lets me do a mail merge from a spreadsheet where the output is a single document rather than separate documents (a new page for every row in the spreadsheet)?

AutoCrat works extremely well but it separates all the mail merges into different documents. I hope this question make sense.

Thinking about making a request for information fully transparent. Each vendor could see the other vendor’s responses. Also, other school districts and organizations that have done similar work could respond and gain insight from the responses. What do you think of the idea? Any reasons not to do so?

My thought is that by making it entirely transparent, all other school districts could benefit. We can also make the process of a request for information into a learning opportunity.

Hey, all.

Hey, all. I just wanted to let you know that I have set up a Google Drive folders for sharing resources across all schools that are doing some form of blended learning in the coming school year. The George Washington folder is here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0ByXFNpMMmaw3R1Z3R1pQT3NNTDg&usp=sharing

If you share anything inside of the “Resources” folder it will automatically be shared with the other schools. So please share generously, but don’t remove things because they will be removed for everyone. Let me know if this doesn’t make sense, though.
