## Transcript

I think I like time loop movies so much because freedom from consequence far more than I like the ability to doms things over again. I don't want to go back in time or set things more right than theyvalready are. I just want it to bo okay when I make the choices that I was always going to make. I want the freedom to be myself without worrying that it is going to make others worse. I don't want to kill people or myself in a time loop. I just don't want to have the consequenses be ever present. I don't have to outrun them because there is nothing to outrun. They just don't exist.

It wouldn'T have # to be a significant day that I would relive either. It could be today. It could be a day that we are on the verge of catastrophe around the world but that we haven't quite reached it. Ittwould be so nice to know that nothing I could ever do would make a difference. That Im the hook from trying to save the world.

But, I don't feel that way most of the time. I am trying to save the world, my world anyway. Alsost constantly. It has fallen to me to know all of the things I should know, to advocate for changein all of the ways that I know how. To build things andmake choices thatt will make my lifeand the lives around me better. It# is my job to worry and to keep worrying until things are better. And they aren"t better yet. So, I want a do over until they are. I wanna get the blood of an alien* in my mouth or be inside of another person's repeating dream or be in some cosmic. glitch during which the actions that I do will for sure not have any impact.

It is a burden to believe that you can change the world. To know that my actionshave the consequences billionaire's belief that anything can be outrun. Butt my results are far to close to exactly of adult weight. I long for te belief of a teenager that consequences are never my own. I wan the

what I put into action. They are tomorrow. Not the day after tomorrow and certainly not some time in the far flung future. The outcomes off my actions are hauntinglyclose.

What I eat. What I choose to spend time thinking about. The way that I treat my family. They are not out ther e in the either. They are carried with me wherever I go, contained within my bodys and in my fat cells. In my bones that ache from strange use. In my feett and in my back. And in the h adachesthat keep coming more andmore every week.

I dom't have access to time loops. I don't have access to my teenage self or to a billion dollars. I do habe access to a typewriter, though. That seems likeenough most: of the time.
