Here is my first lesson from our Ideation Lab at GBMS – It’s just a quick snapshot, but it was really great to use a more flexible space to helped me think through what I want my own classroom and writing instruction to look like.  I am really excited about the possibility of creating a Writer’s Workshop-like environment to better foster student collaboration and differentiation.  There are five stations here – two of which were stationary: one was an independent station for students that were absent or behind, the other was for students that were way ahead, and ready for peer editing (they are at the Promethean Board).  The other three stations rotated between me and two other stations that were for focused writing skills.  In the future, I would like to be able to create these same stations in my own classroom – I just have to figure out the space!  Extra special thanks to Kevin Croghan Alex Magaña for the help, support, and video!
