I’m really proud to be a Colorado educator today. I know that we are doing amazing things, and I’m just glad to be a part of it.

The next question, though, is what’s next?

  1. Jeremy Collins Sometimes a lack of tech can help. I woke up to EdCamp Round Rock ISD this morning realizing that out district had to block Twitter on employee and guest accounts due to something that happened yesterday. Without the Twitter option, we had an incredible in-person conversation that I hope will spread throughout our 54-campus district. And it brought up a great question: How cool would an EdCamp have been in the ’80s or even better the ’90s?

  4. That is a great question, Ben. To bring this momentum back to our schools we need to leverage the right people. To borrow from Gladwell’s Tipping Point, we must get the mavens, connectors, and salespeople on board. Sharing the great successes of today with a few of the right people on a staff and admin can go along way to begin building communities and collaborations at our schools that will really impact kids.

  7. Jeremy Collins I agree finding the “change agents” early adopters at our schools and supporting them is essential. Opportunities like EdCamp to share and collaborate with stakeholders around CO along with finding various levels of PD for the wide range of educators who are on this journey is the ticket. Feeling excited about yesterday.
